Next made up character. Her name Lili Cortés. I just mixed up a fantasy name with a spanish surname.
Like with Saya, I put some scraps of her, though the design has changed. Before she looked a little bit too much like Lara Croft, and I definetely didn't want that. Now it has some resemblence, but it has it's own personality (I think).
I think is one of the best proportionated drawings I made... except that maybe I exaggerated her measurements a little bit... She looks nice anyway.
I like her face and hair. It's curious, but in anime style there aren't many characters with black hair. Anytime a black haired character appears in a manga, in the anime always has brown hair... or even worse: blue hair. Japanese are sick of seeing black hair in the real world, I guess. But I like black haired women, that's why I put it to Lili. Those black eyes go well with it I think.
For the costume I wanted to give it an adventurer look, combined with a military look. At the end, the only military element are the shoulder pads, but that's enough for what I want, at least.
Those knives have the same as Saya's katanas. They glow like LOTR Frodo's sword, Sting, but in this case with an indigo light. And that thing that she has in her left forearm is supposed to be some kind of communication device.
Again, I'm more interested in comments about the design, more than in the way the drawing is made. But don't stop putting those comments too.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
